Throne and Liberty is a free-to-play, open-world MMORPG set in Solisium. Its activities span story quests, cooperative dungeons, world bosses, and large guild battles.

Throne and Liberty Weapon Builds
Shape your combat role by combining any two of the game's ten weapon types. Compare weapon pairings for tanking, support, ranged damage, and melee combat before choosing skills and mastery nodes.
Sword and Shield + Greatsword
Sword and Shield provides blocking and enemy repositioning, while Greatsword offers stuns and attacks that hit multiple foes.
Wand + Orb

Yes. Throne and Liberty is free to download and play on supported platforms, with optional in-game purchases.
Can PC, PS5, and Xbox players play Throne and Liberty together?
Yes, on cross-play servers. Friends must choose the same server. PS5-only servers are excluded from cross-play.
Does Throne and Liberty share progression between platforms?
Progression is not shared between PC and consoles. For the Q4 2026 service transition, NC has announced cross-progression between Steam and PURPLE only; that exception does not include PlayStation or Xbox.
How do classes and weapon builds work in Throne and Liberty?
Combat roles are determined by your equipped weapons rather than a fixed class. You can combine two weapons from 10 types, then customize skills, mastery, and gear for your preferred role.
What is the current character level cap in Throne and Liberty?
The global-service character cap is level 60. The Frozen Divide: Nix expansion raised it from 55 on June 25, 2026. Character level and equipment Item Level are separate systems.
Do I need PlayStation Plus or Game Pass Core for Throne and Liberty?
No. The standard free-to-play release does not require PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Core. You still need an account for the platform you use.
What is Lucent used for in Throne and Liberty?
Lucent is the premium currency used in the in-game shop and Auction House. Purchased Lucent may have a three-day hold before Auction House spending, even when shop spending is immediately available.
Will my Throne and Liberty character be kept during the 2026 service transition?
Amazon Game Studios plans to transfer Western operations to NC and FirstSpark Games in Q4 2026. The announced transfer preserves characters, progression, and inventory unless you opt out. Continuing afterward requires accepting NC's terms and completing any required activation steps.
